New Plant to Boost Production and Create Jobs by 2025
Graham Manufacturing has officially commenced construction on a new 29,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Batavia, New York. This significant investment, totaling $17.6 million, includes $4.1 million directly from Graham Manufacturing and an additional $13.5 million in funding from one of its key customers. The new facility is expected to enhance the company’s production capabilities, with operations slated to begin in 2025.
Strategic Expansion to Meet Growing Demands
Dan Thoren, President and CEO of Graham Corporation, emphasized the importance of the new plant, stating, “Our expanded facility will be crucial in increasing our production capacity to meet the growing needs of our customers, particularly the U.S. Navy. This expansion will not only improve our operational efficiency but also positively impact the Batavia community by creating 24 new full-time skilled positions.”
Support for National Defense and Local Workforce
U.S. Senator Charles Schumer praised the expansion, highlighting its role in supporting national defense. “Graham’s workforce in Batavia plays a vital role in supplying critical technology and equipment for the U.S. Navy. This $18 million expansion reinforces their position as a strategic supplier and supports the creation of new jobs in the region.
